Objective: This research was conducted with the aim of investigating the role of family cohesion, social self-efficacy and adaptability in predicting high-risk behaviors among teenagers in Kamiyaran.
Method: The descriptive research method was of the correlation type, and in terms of its purpose, it was a part of applied research. The statistical population included all female students of the first year of secondary education in Kamiyaran city in the second half of 1400. The sample size was estimated using Morgan table of 330 people who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method. Data collection was done using the Iranian Adolescent Riskiness Scale (IARS), Razavieh and Samani's Family Cohesion Questionnaire (2019), Smith and Betz's Social Self-Efficacy Scale (2000), and the Students' Social Adaptability Scale. Data analysis was done using inferential tests of Pearson correlation and multivariate regression.
Findings: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between family cohesion, social self-efficacy and compromise with high-risk behaviors, and therefore the variables of family cohesion, social self-efficacy and compromise have the ability to predict high-risk behaviors in adolescents.
Conclusion: Therefore, by improving the level of family cohesion, social self-efficacy and adaptability, high-risk behaviors can be prevented in teenagers.
