Online Training of Emotional Cognitive Techniques in the Days of the COVID-19 Epidemic on Depression and Marital Satisfaction of Working Women aged 20 to 65

Background :The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of online training of emotional cognitive techniques in the days of the COVID-19 epidemic on depression and marital satisfaction of working women aged 20 to 65 years (medical staff of Tehran hospitals).
Method: The present study was a quasi-experimental study with experimental group and control group. The sample consisted of 40 working women who were randomly selected by random sampling in both experimental and control groups. Data collection tools were based on Zimmermann's semi-structured clinical interview, Enrich Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire, Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II) as well as the therapist learned from the short-term REBT period. The training was conducted in 20 sessions of 45 minutes, 2 sessions per week for 2.5 months. The data were analyzed by using SPSS software version 25.
Result: The results showed that online training in cognitive-emotional techniques is effective in increasing marital satisfaction of working women aged 20 to 65 years. (F = 0.38)
Conclusion :This training also had a positive effect on reducing depression in working women aged 20 to 65 years. (F = 0.12)
