A Review of Hypertensive Disorders Management During Pregnancy

Hypertensive disorders are the second direct cause of maternal death affecting 5 – 10 % of pregnancies. These disorders are associated with increased risk of intracerebral hemorrhage, placental abruption, intrauterine growth retardation, prematurity, and intrauterine death. Therefore, proper management of hypertensive disorders are necessary in pregnant women. We have reviewed management modalities of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy in this study.
